SiteScout Update: Google Ad Exchange Fully Live; Massive Increase in Retargeting Reach!

by Ratko Vidakovic on August 29, 2012 · 3 comments

As you may have heard, we have been quietly testing Google’s Ad Exchange for a while now. Today, we are happy to announce that it is available to all SiteScout users, resulting in over 7,000 additional premium sites to our already extensive inventory!

Google has some of the highest-quality inventory available, and we strongly recommend testing your campaigns across these new sites. Google Ad Exchange will also have a dramatic impact on the reach of your retargeting campaigns, so be sure to re-test these as well. If you need help, check out our retargeting guide.

This launch also gives us access to a huge amount of Google’s “hidden” inventory, on request; so, if you need more traffic from Australia, UK or wherever, let us know and we will make it available for you. For example, we’ve added almost 300 new sites from Brazil to the system as per a request from a user. Just reach out to your account manager, or leave a comment below with the details of what kind of inventory you need.

Great work, SiteScout.

Just wondering, does this include Adwords/Adsense display inventory or just the inventory that is available through DoubleClick?

Also, do you have any plans to get your hands on the Facebook Exchange inventory? The demographic targeting features could be extremely powerful.

While we do not have access to the AdWords search inventory through the DoubleClick exchange, we do have access to all of GDN (Google Display Network). This includes AdSense publishers as well as Google owned-and-operated properties such as Youtube. Furthermore, DoubleClick also gives us access to Google’s exclusive exchange-only publishers (the most premium publishers), which are not available through a standard AdWords account.

We definitely have plans to integrate with the Facebook Exchange. The wheels are in motion.
